This collection contains publications (1966-1987) produced by the Division of Theological Studies or regarding projects in which the Division participated. Publications concern Division studies and statements on such topics as christology, ordination of women, the Formula of Concord, the Holy Spirit, pastoral counseling, hermeneutics, the born again movement, Lutheran-Jewish relations, the historic episcopate, in-vitro fertilization, the ecumenical movement, peace, the millennium, interfaith worship, and historical criticism; and dialogues with representatives from the Angelical/Episcopal, Baptist, Conservative/Evangelical, Jewish, Reformed, and United Methodist traditions. The final portion of the collection contains issues of the Division's "Studies" series which consists of reports, essays and statements. Distributed by the Division for study and discussion. The series was used, in large part, by Lutheran pastors and laity and by professors and students in colleges and theological seminaries.
